Licensed Educational Psychologist #4093
Board Certified Behavior Analyst #1-17-28182

Jessica Weston, founder of South Bay Behavioral Solutions and Assessment, is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst who believes in providing evidence-based solutions with compassion.  Jessica has used her education and internship experiences to assess and support toddlers, children, and adolescents with varying challenges, including behavioral challenges, social-emotional needs, developmental delays and learning disabilities. She believes that building on the strengths of neurodiverse children and adolescents is fundamental to their success.  Jessica has been a featured speaker at educational psychology state and national conferences and believes that continued study is essential to providing best practices and ensuring that clients are receiving evidence-based treatments.

Jessica’s background includes working in public schools as a school psychologist following the completion of her graduate studies and internships. She has experience working in preschool through high school settings, completing comprehensive psychoeducational assessments, addressing children and adolescents’ emotional and behavioral needs, and consulting with teachers and parents.  She has extensive training in dyslexia assessment. Jessica’s experiences in these settings gave her invaluable insights into child development and how best to foster children’s growth.

Jessica earned a master’s degree in educational psychology and an educational specialist degree in school psychology, and was then employed as a school psychologist in the Seattle area. After working for five years with two public school districts, Jessica continued her studies at the University of Washington, Seattle (UW) and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).  Jessica believes that developing her skills in supporting children with behavioral challenges was essential to providing effective behavioral consultation to educators and families. Following her studies and an intensive internship in early intervention at UW for young children with autism, Jessica went on to serve as a behavior consultant for private and public school entities and families. She has found that providing parent and teacher coaching is her ultimate passion.

Most recently, Jessica received training in The Incredible Years® curriculum, created by Dr. Carolyn Webster-Stratton at the University of Washington’s Parenting Clinic.  It is a comprehensive evidence-based program that has been shown to increase skills such as emotional regulation, social competence, and for school age children, school readiness. The program has also been shown to improve parent child interactions and strengthen the parent child relationship. Jessica is very excited to be offering groups for parents in the South Bay area, as well as private consultation.

Jessica currently resides in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and two cats.  When she is not working, you can find her spending time outdoors with her family.
